Hello Guys, I recently attended the Salesforce Workshop organized by LinuxWorld Informatics Pvt Ltd.

In this Article, I share my experience with you guys

Here are some of the Salesforce concepts which I learnt well as implemented during this 3 day long Salesforce workshop:

What is Salesforce ?

Salesforce is a customer relationship management solution that brings companies and customers together. It’s one integrated CRM platform that gives all your departments — including marketing, sales, commerce, and service — a single, shared view of every customer.

What is SAAS ?

Software as a service (SaaS) allows users to connect to and use cloud-based apps over the Internet. Common examples are email, calendaring and office tools

SaaS provides a complete software solution which you purchase on a pay-as-you-go basis from a cloud service provider. You rent the use of an app for your organization and your users connect to it over the Internet, usually with a web browser. All of the underlying infrastructure, middleware, app software and app data are located in the service provider’s data center.

What is CRM ?

Customer relationship management (CRM) is a technology for managing all your company’s relationships and interactions with customers and potential customers. The goal is simple: Improve business relationships to grow your business. A CRM system helps companies stay connected to customers, streamline processes, and improve profitability.

What is Heroku ?

Heroku is a widely relied-upon platform as a service offering that enables developers to carry out hassle-free application deployment, scaling, and management. This platform offers support for a wide range of programming languages such as Java, Ruby, PHP, Node.js, Python, Scala, and Clojure. Heroku runs applications through virtual containers known as Dynos.

Heroku charges its users based on the number of virtual machines that are necessary for their applications. The Heroku platform and user-created applications use Amazon Web Services as the underlying infrastructure. Developers can achieve swift application development using it as it is quite convenient.
